Financial Aid Tips for Wintermester
Thinking about Wintermester? Here are a few key things you’ll need to know before you start.
- Complete the Wintermester Financial Aid Application Request located in Etrieve. The deadline to submit is December 1.
- Students may enroll in up to four (4) credit hours. Please be aware that the Pell Grant is the only financial aid available for Wintermester. If you qualify, using these funds will reduce your Spring award. For example, if your Spring eligibility is $2,000 and you use $500 for Wintermester, your remaining Spring balance will be $1,500.
- Institutional scholarships cannot be applied toward Wintermester expenses.
- Prior to registration, speak with your financial aid advisor regarding your eligibility and any potential impact on your Spring Pell Grant.
- Pell Grant disbursements occur after Wintermester classes begin. If you wish to apply your Pell Grant toward these costs with the understanding that it will reduce your Spring eligibility, you must complete the Wintermester Financial Aid Application Request before the fee payment deadline.
