Important Dates for Financial Aid

The most important financial aid dates revolve around the FAFSA application. The FAFSA for the new academic year is available starting Oct. 1.

Disbursement Policy

Per Federal Regulations, the earliest that a school may disburse Federal Student Aid funds to the student's account is 10 days before the first day of classes for that payment period. It is the policy of Spelman College that no financial aid (Federal, State or Institution) be disbursed prior to 10 days before the first day of class. Financial Aid Disbursements will occur after drop/add period registration period.
