The Spelman College Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Dr. Ayanna Howard as the College’s 12th president. A nationally recognized expert in robotics, artificial intelligence and human-centered technology, Dr. Howard brings a distinguished record of leadership across higher education, industry, entrepreneurship and government.

Interim President and Chair Emerita Rosalind "Roz" Brewer, provides leadership and strategic direction for Spelman College. The president is guided by the Board of Trustees and supported by the Faculty Council, Leadership Council, and Staff Council. The senior team, leaders of each of the College's divisions, provides operational collaboration.
