Scholarships
Our scholarships are awarded to eligible first-year students who demonstrated strong academic performance in high school. Scholarships are determined based on their grade point average, standardized test scores, community service and financial need. Spelman offers the following scholarships to selected students who fall into the scholarship eligible pool:
Bonner Scholarship
The Bonner scholarship is awarded to students who have displayed academic achievement and good citizenship in her community.
Dean’s Scholarship
The Dean’s Scholarship covers tuition only.
Dean’s Academic Scholarship
The academic scholarship covers half tuition.
Flanigan Scholarship
Scholarships will also be awarded on the basis of need.
Presidential Scholarship
The Presidential Scholarship is a renewable scholarship that covers tuition, fees and on campus room and board.
