Supporting The Office of Research, Innovation, and Collaboration is a One-stop Shop of Three Units
My mission is to create, innovate and manage various applications or databases used vastly throughout the Spelman community.
My goal is that every encounter I have with faculty, students, and staff will leave them feeling that whatever the inquiry or problem is, they've had a pleasant, well-informed experience and a resolution or understanding.
Supporting the Office of Research, Innovation, and Collaboration, known as ORIC, is a one-stop shop of three units that engage in undergraduate student support for research and training, evaluation, monitoring, and data, and providing evaluating mechanisms, and the lifecycle of grantsmanship while also keeping our phenomenal administrative professionals abreast of the changes related to day-to-day processes called the Administrative Professional Institute known as API.
We’re excited to implement Spelman College’s Research Concierge, part of the AUC-GRANTED Initiative! AUC-GRANTED is a collaborative approach for transforming the research enterprise through a shared support model for collective impact and synergistic effect aims to expand the research support and service capacity within and across the Atlanta University Center (AUC) through activities and shared resources designed to reduce barriers to competitiveness and strengthen the research enterprise.

Administrative Professionals Institute (API)
Established in 2019 for Spelman College administrative support staff across the Spelman footprint, who perform administrative duties, regardless of their titles, as a coordinator, manager, specialist, executive assistant, or administrative assistant. API is a place to get training from internal departments, express concerns, uplift our peers, and much more. The API SharePoint is coming soon!
