Here are our new 2026 Quad Chairs and their divisional affiliations:
These four distinguished faculty members will help shape Research Day, a signature Spelman event that highlights the remarkable scholarly and creative achievements of our students. Each Quad Chair will represent their academic division, ensuring that the diversity of research and creative works at Spelman College is well-represented.

Kimberly Williams, PhD – Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics
Rebecca Sen Choudhury, PhD – Division of Social Sciences and Education
Research Day will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026. We are excited about the leadership and vision they will bring to this year’s Research Day, which serves as a platform to foster student engagement, intellectual exploration and scholarly and creative excellence. Their collaborative efforts will help to ensure a dynamic and inclusive celebration of research and creative pursuits across all disciplines at Spelman College.
