Semester Payment Plan

Spelman College offers the Semester Payment Plan to students as an alternative to paying their fall or spring bill in full at the start of each term.

Students who do not pay their semester balance in full by the established deadline are required to enroll in the Semester Payment Plan. This plan requires an initial payment of $16,000 for residential students and $11,000 for commuter students each semester. While the plan is interest-free, a non-refundable enrollment fee of $200 is charged each semester. Additionally, a $10 late fee will be assessed for each installment not received by the designated due date.

How Does the Payment Plan Work?

1. Residential students pay $16,000, and commuter students pay $11,000 prior to enrolling in the payment plan.  
2. Enroll in the payment plan (Instructions are below.) 
3. Pay the remaining balance for the semester in 3 equal installments:  
   • Fall 2025 semester – Aug. 30, Sept. 30, and Oct. 30
   • Spring 2026 semester – Feb. 1, Mar. 1, and Apr. 1 

Make a Payment

Please follow the payment guidelines below:

• All full-time, residential students must pay $16,000 and enroll in the Semester Payment Plan on or before July 15, 2025, for the Fall 2025 semester and on or before January 2, 2026, for the Spring 2026 semester.
• Students who select one of the Spelman College-sponsored housing options must pay $16,000 and enroll in the Semester Payment Plan on or before July 15, 2025, for the Fall 2025 semester and on or before January 2, 2026, for the Spring 2026 semester.
• All full-time commuter students must pay $11,000 and enroll in the Semester Payment Plan on or before July 15, 2025, for the Fall 2025 semester and on or before January 2, 2026, for the Spring 2026 semester.
• Students registered for 11 credit hours or less must follow the rates noted on the fee schedule below. The required initial payment must be paid on or before July 15, 2025, for the Fall 2025 semester and on or before January 2, 2026, for the Spring 2026 semester.

How to Enroll

Login to Spelman College Student Account Suite

1. Enter your Spelman College ID number.
2. Enter your 6-digit PIN (six-digit D.O.B)
3. Click on “Make Payment”
4. Enter the required payment ($11,000 or $16,000)
5. Click “Add”
6. Click “Continue” to complete your payment.
7. Select the “Payment Plans” tab.
8. Click "Enroll In Payment Plan”
9. Select term click  "Select" and arrow down to "Fall 2025".
10. Click “Select”
11. Press the “Enter” key on your keyboard.
12. Click “Update Schedule” to review payment plan enrollment information.
13. Choose whether you would like to set up automatic payments and click "Continue"
    (*** If you have met the payment requirement and no down payment is necessary, accept the terms and conditions and your plan will be established. You can review your plan or logout).
14. Review the Terms and Conditions of the Payment and if you agree, click "I agree to the above terms and conditions" and then click "Continue"
15. A payment receipt will be displayed for you to print or download.  

Please Note: A financial hold will be placed on your student account if the monthly installment is not paid on or before the due date. A financial hold will prevent access to Banner which could affect registration, access to transcripts and other Banner controlled information.
