Elliott D. Farmer, Ph.D., serves as assistant vice president and chief of staff for the Division of Human Resources and Culture at Spelman College. As a member of the division’s leadership team, Dr. Farmer provides leadership for strategic planning, divisional operations, special projects, and institutional initiatives that advance the College’s mission and priorities. He collaborates closely with divisional leaders and campus stakeholders to support people strategy, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, culture initiatives, and enterprise-wide human resources efforts.
Through cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement, Dr. Farmer helps align human resources strategies, programs, and services with the evolving needs of the College and its community. His work focuses on supporting data-informed decision-making, advancing strategic initiatives, and strengthening organizational effectiveness across the institution.
