Durrel Parker, Ph.D., serves as the Director of Talent Services in the Office of Human Resources at Spelman College. He brings extensive experience in human capital management, talent acquisition, and organizational leadership, with a focus on building inclusive, strategic, and data-driven HR practices. In his role, Dr. Parker oversees recruitment, onboarding, and talent engagement processes, ensuring that Spelman attracts, develops and retains top talent in alignment with the College’s mission and values.
Dr. Parker holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration with a specialization in Organizational Leadership, a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Arts in Adult Learning and Development with a specialization in Workforce Development, a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration with Distinction, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Pre-Law concentration and a minor in American History. He also maintains multiple professional certifications, including SHRM-SCP, SPHR, and PHR.
