Angela George, C'90, is a content marketing specialist with a passion for technology and
people. With her incredible ability to conceptualize and turn ideas into action, Angela is recognized as an innovative thought leader experienced in the coordination of multiple digital media projects.
As a 21-year staff veteran at Spelman College, her enthusiasm for her alma mater is infectious. Angela's ultimate goal in her role as assistant director of web and digital content in the Division of Strategic Communications and Marketing, is to inspire people to leverage the power of the web to tell great stories about the College's faculty, staff, students, alumnae and donors.
An Oakland, California native with a long legacy of Spelman alumnae in her family, Angela loves working with members across campus to tell meaningful stories that highlight the College's mission to educate women of African descent. She is a 1990 honors graduate from Spelman with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She also has a Master of Science degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Full Sail University and she did advance studies in marketing at the University of Maryland City College.
"The community of thinkers, achievers and doers I discovered as a student in the 1990s is still alive more than ever."
Amazing things happen at Spelman everyday, and I am thrilled to be a part of an institution committed to educating women of African descent -- women who are committed to changing the world locally, nationally and globally.
