Bike Share Program
The City of Atlanta added a bike share station on the Spelman campus, as part of a recent expansion of its Relay Bike Share program. The signature light blue bikes are now accessible at 10 new stations in Westside neighborhoods, including Spelman near Lee Street, the Atlanta University Center Woodruff Library, the Walmart on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, as well as the West End, Ashby and Vine City MARTA stations. The expansion comes less than a year after Relay Bike Share launched in June 2016. “The University Community Development Corp. is proud to be a partner with the City of Atlanta’s Relay Bike Share program,” said Rita Gibson, C’73, UCDC executive director.
“This alternative form of transportation is consistent with the mission of UCDC, which is to enhance the quality of life for residents and students in the Atlanta University Center.”
