Remi Des-Ogugua is a faculty data analyst at Spelman College, where she supports faculty data reporting, analytics, and institutional initiatives that strengthen academic operations and inform strategic decision-making. In her role, she works closely with campus partners to ensure data accuracy, improve reporting processes, and provide insights that advance institutional effectiveness and faculty affairs initiatives.
Before joining Spelman, Des-Ogugua served as an applications analyst and data systems manager in the Office of Admissions at Morehouse School of Medicine. There, she led data management and reporting efforts for large-scale admissions cycles, overseeing systems used to manage thousands of applicant records and supporting operational reporting and data governance.
Des-Ogugua earned her Master of Science in applied data science and analytics from Howard University, where her work focused on leveraging data for equity, institutional impact, and meaningful change. Her research explores the intersection of data, equity, and social impact, and she is especially passionate about using analytics to tell stories that might otherwise go unseen. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys cooking and exploring multiple mediums of visual art.
