Neal Scott, M.A., CWP, is the director of Wellness Operations and Recreation at Spelman College. Coach Scott embodies operational excellence while advancing a Well FIT (Focused, Integrative, Transformational) approach to enhancing student and community wellness. He believes encouraging compassionate care for self and others, cultivating a sense of belonging, boosting engagement activities, increasing collaborations across programs and linking prevention initiatives are core values essential to organizational success and effectiveness.
Over the years, he has gained extensive experience working in communities, schools and organizations overseeing the implementation of programs and services as well as curriculum and assessment. Coach Scott is passionate about building a positive culture of well-being at Spelman through wellness education, health promotion, intramural sports and recreation, physical fitness, and aquatics.
As a Wellness Practitioner, he addresses the spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional needs of the whole person while providing practical guidance that will aid in comprehensive growth and healthy lifestyle development.
