Jermey Robinson serves as the Research Data Manager within Spelman College’s Institutional Advancement Division within the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.
Jermey is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of institutional data. In this role, he oversees the development and ongoing updates of the Digital Fact Book, manages IPEDS submissions, and designs and maintains key dashboards for the Board of Trustees and the Strategic Plan. His work supports data-driven decision-making across the College, ensuring that leadership has access to reliable, well-organized, and timely information. Jermey also contributes to the ATI Report and other major institutional reports used for governance, compliance, and external partnerships with organizations and government agencies. His commitment to data transparency and innovation helps advance Spelman’s mission of excellence and continuous improvement.
Before joining Spelman College, Jermey worked for four years at General Motors as a Data Analyst and Software Engineer, where he strengthened his expertise in data systems, automation, and analytics. During his tenure, he optimized workflow processes and developed new solutions to improve data efficiency and reporting accuracy across departments. This technical foundation continues to inform his current work, allowing him to merge analytical precision with strategic insight in higher education research.
Jermey holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Clark Atlanta University and a master’s degree in Adult Education from Strayer University. Beyond his professional achievements, he is passionate about storytelling, mentorship, and community service. He is the founder and host of The IT Factor Podcast, where he interviews guests from diverse backgrounds—exploring their journeys, motivations, and personal growth. He is also the author of The Art of Networking: An IT Factor Memoir, a book that reflects his experiences building meaningful connections and inspiring others to pursue purpose-driven work.
