Brijea N. Daniel is the communications manager for Communications and External Relations at Spelman College, where she manages external communications and media relations. With extensive experience crafting meaningful communications materials for leading brands and institutions, Brijea brings a wealth of experience to the role.
Brijea earned her master’s degree in public relations and advertising from The University of Southern California, where she specialized in external relations and worked with the USC's Center for PR as a graduate associate. As a graduate student at USC, Brijea worked at Apple headquarters in Cupertino where she co-authored the 2022 Impact Accelerator Report, amplified Apple's DEI initiatives, and developed key assets and communications strategies for Apple events. She also worked with several boutique PR agencies during her time at USC.
Prior to receiving her graduate degree, Brijea worked with non-profit organization Women’s Inter-Cultural Exchange, where she helped lead multiple communication strategies, including the organization’s COVID-19 response. While studying broadcast journalism and global studies at UNC-Chapel Hill, she had the opportunity to work under companies like NASCAR, CBS News, and ABC News.
In her free time, Brijea enjoys spending time with her family, baking, hiking, reading and traveling the world.
