Angelino Viceisza, Ph.D.

Dr. Angelino Viceisza (pronounced: Vee-Say-Za) is Professor of Economics at Spelman College and research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. Prior to joining Spelman, Dr. Viceisza was at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). He has also held visiting positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Duke University, the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, and MIT. ​

Dr. Viceisza’s primary expertise is in behavioral and experimental economics, with applications in development, household finance, and entrepreneurship. His research has been published in journals such as Journal of Economic Perspectives, Journal of Development Economics, Economic Inquiry, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Experimental Economics, Small Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, and Review of Black Political Economy.
