Talia Ford, C'2026, is a health science major on the pre-medical track at Spelman College. Ford aims to become a physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, with a specific focus on maternal and child health. As an Health Career Opportunities Pipeline Preparation Program (HCOPPP) scholar, Ford had the invaluable opportunity to conduct research at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she investigated the effects of Medicaid expansion on perinatal health outcomes. This immersive experience allowed her to merge her passion for medicine with her growing interest in social policies, solidifying her commitment to advocating for evidence-based reforms that enhance health equity in underserved communities.
