Bridging the gap Between Scientific Discovery and Patient Care

In addition to her passion for healthcare, Henry serves as a First-Year Study Guide with Spelman College’s Student Success Program, where she provides tailored academic support to a caseload of first-year students. She facilitates weekly communication, conducts in-person and virtual sessions, and fosters student engagement to promote academic success and retention.
Also, through her role as activity coordinating co-chair for Ballet and Books, she fosters literacy development and confidence in children while also engaging in community-based health education initiatives. During her time at Spelman, Henry has participated in the Spelman College Pre-Health Summer Program, where she participated in clinical mentorship, professional and academic development lectures. She further honed her clinical and research skills at the Yale Summer Enrichment Medical Academy, where she engaged in coursework on Organic Chemistry, Biology, and Research while participating in hands-on clinical simulations, MCAT preparation, and suturing workshops.
Henry aspires to become a physician specializing in family medicine and conduct research in infectious diseases and immunology. She is committed to bridging the gap between scientific discovery and patient care. She envisions a career at the intersection of clinical medicine and public health, working to ensure that all communities, regardless of socioeconomic status, have access to quality medical treatment and preventive care. After completing her undergraduate studies, Henry plans to matriculate into a medical school program.
