Atlanta Black Theatre Festival

Spelman’s Department of Theatre and Performance is hosting the 14th annual Atlanta Black Theatre Festival (ABTF) and Creative Arts Conference. The festival will be held in the newly renovated LaTanya Richardson Jackson and Samuel L. Jackson Performing Arts Center on Labor Day weekend, Friday, August 29, and Saturday, August 30. The conference will feature live performances, workshops, short film screenings, readings, talkbacks, black art and business expo, cabaret, and awards gala, and networking opportunities. Participants can order tickets and passes.
