Our event policies and guidelines for the Office of Event Strategy and Management are established to uphold a safe, inclusive, and high-quality experience for all participants. We recommend reviewing these policies prior to making any reservations or attending events. They serve to ensure consistency, accessibility, and a welcoming environment that reflects our institutional standards and values.

Event Décor Request Guidelines

The Office of Event Strategy and Management provides décor support for internal campus events during designated request periods each academic year. To ensure efficient planning and equitable access, all requests must be submitted within the timelines outlined below.

Décor Request Windows:

  • Spring Season
    • Opens: Mid-January
    • Closes: One week after Founders Day
  • Fall Season
    • Opens: Immediately following New Student Orientation
    • Closes: After Thanksgiving Break

Requests submitted outside of these windows will not be accepted. Adhering to these deadlines allows our team to plan effectively and ensures a consistent experience for all campus partners.

Availability of Décor Inventory:
Outside of active request periods, all Office of Events décor inventory is offline and unavailable for use. Décor items cannot be accessed, reserved, or distributed during this time. While Facilities Management may have access to select items, they are not able to coordinate the pickup or delivery of Office of Events décor outside of the established request process.

Alternative Options:
For events that fall outside of our request windows or require additional support, we recommend working with an external vendor for décor and setup services.
