Mariama DialloMariama Diallo, C'2026, a Psychology and Documentary Filmmaking double major from Brooklyn, New York, is a dedicated scholar at Spelman College. As a member of the Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program, an inductee of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, and a Dewitt Dean Scholar, she demonstrates a strong commitment to academic excellence, interdisciplinary inquiry, and purposeful leadership.

Her leadership and impact extend across campus through both service and community-building initiatives. Mariama served as the President of Atlanta University Center Muslim Student Association, where she led efforts to foster inclusive programming, strengthen community engagement, and create meaningful spaces for dialogue and representation. As a founding member of the revitalized Big Sister Little Sister Exchange Tradition, she played a key role in reestablishing a tradition after over 30 years centered on mentorship, connection, and sisterhood within the Spelman community. She is also a proud member of the “Sweet” Mu Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, where she has contributed to a wide range of service initiatives.

As a filmmaker, Mariama is deeply passionate about both storytelling and sociocultural impact. She is building a career at the intersection of film, media, and advocacy, currently producing projects—including her narrative short film For the Crown—that examine the intersectionality of the black experience. After graduation, Mariama plans to continue developing her work as a filmmaker while expanding her influence as a creative leader dedicated to shaping narratives that matter.
