Weather Advisory: Remote Operations on Monday, Jan. 26

 

Dear Spelman Community:

Due to the inclement weather and unsafe road conditions, the AUCC Campuses of Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Morehouse School of Medicine, Spelman College and the AUC Robert Woodruff Library will operate remotely Monday, Jan. 26, 2026.

For Spelman Students

  • If you are a residential student, please report any pipe issues, water leaks and housekeeping concerns to Facilities Management & Services (FMS) at 404-270-5440. Your Resident Advisor or Resident Director will also be available to respond to your questions.
  • If you have a campus emergency, please contact Spelman College Public Safety at 404-525-6401 or 404-525-6402.
  • If you are a commuter or off-campus student, please follow the safety protocols from your residence location or apartment complex and report any concerns directly to the appropriate source.
  • Dining service will be available tomorrow in the Alma Upshaw Café following weekend business hours. Retail dining and Spelman After Dark (BDT Suites) will remain closed.

For Spelman Faculty

Spelman faculty are encouraged to conduct their scheduled classes via the remote learning model (Zoom).

For Spelman Staff

While operations will continue virtually, essential staff is expected to report to campus. For additional information and guidance, please contact your direct supervisor as needed.

The AUCC Weather Team will continue to monitor weather conditions and will update the campus community with any changes. Please continue to stay informed by monitoring emails, our social media channels, website and following our local news stations.
