Triota Honor Society

The Triota Honor Society at Spelman CollegeTriota (Iota Iota Iota) is a national academic and scholar-activist women's and gender studies honor society that promotes and supports academic excellence and facilitates feminist activism among women's, sexuality and gender studies students.

The triple Greek letter, iota, was selected to represent the three goddesses: Inana, Ishtar and Isis.  Since the Alpha Pi Chapter was established in the Women's Research and Resource Center (WRRC) at Spelman College in 2007, Triota has strived to maintain feminist values of egalitarianism, inclusiveness, and celebration of our diverse and intersectional identities central to women's/gender/sexuality studies.

This chapter facilitates academic, intellectual, and academic endeavors among students that study women and gender.  We also hope to expand our knowledge of women’s studies issues through research and campus events that will incorporate women-centered issues and social justice.
