Spelman College Students Featured on Jennifer Hudson Show and 11Alive After Winning First Place at National Business Competition

The Students Opened Up About Their Journey, Their Winning Idea and Why the Program Matters

 



Last month, Spelman College students Kennedy Blue Washington C’2027, Ca’Miyah King C’2027, Aubria King C’2027, Sydney Vera Johnson C’2028, and Madison Harris C’2028 won first place in the 7th annual Moguls in the Making pitch competition. Their innovative idea, Prospera, builds an ecosystem to support women-owned small businesses—boosting economic mobility in Detroit and beyond. Each student earned a $20,000 scholarship for their achievement. 
 
Following their accompishment, the students were featured on the Jennifer Hudson Show and WSBTV to highlight the next generation of entrepreneurs.
