Founders Week 2026
The Spelman community ignites the spirit of legacy with a week full of festivities that foster community, strengthen the sisterhood, and honor over a century of tradition. Founders Day begins with the Founders Day Convocation. This event is scheduled from Wednesday, April 1 - Saturday, April 11.
Other activities throughout the week include the History and Traditions Convocation on April 4, the Alumnae Celebration in Friendship Baptist Church on April 10, and the Senior Class Robing on the morning of Founders Day.
Following the Convocation, the College community comes together for the Spelman College birthday party and cake cutting led by the Granddaughters Club, culminating the week’s festivities in a momentous celebration filled with reverence, pride, and excitement for the institution’s long-standing history of excellence, sisterhood, and service.
