MLK Day of Service
The Bonner Office of Civic Engagement will host the MLK Day of Service, a day of service in honor of the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. Members of the Spelman College community will join our neighbors in service projects benefitting the Westside community.
- West Atlanta Watershed Alliance | 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Volunteers will participate in trail and habitat restoration, including clearing and mulching, at the Outdoor Activity Center.
Register - Booker T. Washington High School | 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Volunteer tasks will include landscaping, painting murals, assembling snack packs, organizing closets, building planter boxes, creating walking paths and writing inspirational letters to students.
Register - Hygiene Kit Packing Project (on campus) | 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Volunteers will pack hygiene kits to be donated to those in need. This event is in partnership with Spelman’s Sister Chefs student group and Project I Am.
