Micah Williams II is the admissions communications coordinator.
Territory: Handles all application materials (transcripts, essays, recommendation letters, etc.) Also manages Spelman swag material requests for educators and community organizations.
Biography: Williams is an experienced educator from Birmingham, AL, with a diverse background spanning education and politics. He studied political science in undergraduate school, laying a strong foundation for his career in higher education and student advocacy.
With over five years of experience in the education sector, Williams has taught students across a wide range of age groups—from preschool to 12th grade. Beyond the classroom, he has served as a dedicated mentor to middle school, high school, and college students, consistently investing in the academic, personal, and professional growth of the next generation.
Williams also brings a unique perspective from his time in the political sector, where he served as an executive assistant in the U.S. Senate. This experience sharpened his skills in communication, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement—tools he now applies daily in his current role as the admissions communications coordinator at Spelman College.
In this position, Williams leverages his multifaceted background to craft meaningful messaging, build authentic connections with prospective students, and support the college’s mission of academic excellence and empowerment.
