The Division of Human Resources and Culture is comprised of dedicated professionals who partner with faculty, staff, and campus leadership to support the people and culture of Spelman College. Through strategic leadership, specialized expertise, and responsive service, our team advances organizational excellence and supports the employee experience across the College.

Leadership Spotlight: Terri Walthour (VP)

Terri Walthour is the vice president of Human Resources and Culture. Walthour reports to interim President Roz Brewer and is instrumental in expanding the impact of People and Culture (PoC) to include talent acquisition, total rewards, learning and development, employee relations and engagement across the college. She is  focused on engaging with key stakeholders to build and support a culture that advances Spelman’s reputation as an excellent place to work.

Walthour brings to Spelman College over 15 years of experience promoting service excellence and shaping talent strategy in complex organizations across higher education. She has a proven track record of success in areas such as human resources strategy and planning, stakeholder engagement, organizational change management, talent management, and culture transformation.
