The Future is HER is a signature program from Spelman College’s Office of Career Planning and Development, designed to equip students with the tools, skills, and confidence to navigate their professional journeys with purpose. Through career readiness workshops, mentorship opportunities, networking events, and leadership development, the program supports students in achieving meaningful, impactful careers. Rooted in Spelman’s mission to develop Black women leaders, The Future is Her prepares participants to thrive in today’s competitive job market and become trailblazers in their fields.

InfluenceHER Career Collective – Learn from bold Spelman alumnae and industry leaders. Get tips on social media, entrepreneurship, leadership, and owning your career path. Leave with new skills, stories, and inspiration to level up your future.

InnovateHER Studio – Dive into real-world business challenges! Join mini case competitions, design labs, and live innovation sessions to flex your problem-solving and creative thinking skills. Perfect if you want to stand out in strategy, consulting, or product design.

CreateHER Atelier – A space for artists, storytellers, designers, and creative visionaries. Build your portfolio, attend workshops, hear from pros, and showcase your work. Cohort-based program—students must attend all six sessions. Includes a link & QR for registration.

Imagination Lab: HER Future in Bloom – Get hands-on internship prep in résumé building, interview skills, personal branding, and finding the right internship. Pick from tracks in Business/Econ, Creative, STEM, or Health & Human Services.

HER Hangouts: Career Connections – Go behind the scenes with companies and meet the teams making things happen. Tours, mixers, and networking opportunities are designed to give you real insight into company culture and open doors to internships.
