Zoe Elon Purdy, C’2025, is a sociology major on the pre-law track whose path to Spelman was shaped by a traumatic racial incident in 2020. The experience ignited her passion for justice and advocacy. At Spelman, she served as a student ambassador, participated in SpelREADS, and held leadership roles in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, the Granddaughters Club and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.
Purdy interned at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, State Farm and McCall Parkhurst & Horton LLP. She also studied abroad in Milan, Italy. With plans to attend law school, she aims to become a civil rights attorney and restorative justice advocate. "I want to be a voice for those who can’t speak for themselves," she said.
