What Black Is This You Say? Book Launch and Conversation
The Spelman College Museum of Fine Art invites the campus community to join Amanda Williams, MacArthur award-winning artist, to the launch of her book, What Black Is This, You Say?, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Camille Olivia Hanks Cosby, Ed.D. Academic Center Auditorium.
Williams will be joined in conversation by Grammy Award-winning recording artist and book contributor Corinne Bailey Rae.
Attendees will have the opportunity to have their books signed and engage in a dynamic discussion with two brilliant Black women artists who work at the intersection of music, visual art and storytelling. This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m.
