Spelman History Department presents: Black Women and the Black Freedom Struggle, 20th Century. Dr. Yveline Alexis will present historical case studies of lesser-known and well-known black women in the 20th century. Her talk will center on their voices and lives during the long black freedom struggle. Professor Alexis will examine the particularities of their resistance. The program will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, in Camille Olivia Hanks Cosby, Ed.D., Academic Center, 104, at 3 - 3:50 p.m.
