
Witness a Movement
On Sunday, February 16, 2025, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will present Spelman College Dance Performance and Choreography's newest course Performance Repertory on stage. In celebration of love and family, dance majors will join the Orchestra performing excerpts from T. Lang dance's latest development Thighs of Thunder, dance majors will perform on stage for ASO’s Family Concert: I Love Music - Valentine's Day Concert.
On Thursday, February 20, 2025, the Performance Repertory students will reconstruct TLD’S repertory and its intention to perform for Alliance Theater's BUST, a new drama from Pulitzer Prize finalist playwright Zora Howard. Students will open the performance with excerpts inside elevators, stairs, balcony and the main lobby allowing audiences to witness a pre-performance experience before entering the main stage.
The Performance Repertory students will return to the Woodruff Arts Center on Saturday, April 19, 2025, for their final exam performance, reconstructing TLD’S work, during a second floor take over at the High Museum of Art’s exhibition of Seeing Eye, Thinking Mind: The Collection of Medford and Loraine Johnston.
