Joselyn Barker, a Spelman sophomore English major from Seattle, said, “It was great... it gave me a chance to talk to employers and work on an elevator pitch and I would go next year and see how my elevator pitch has grown throughout the year if I see any more employers that I would love to work with and see more of my AUC siblings take on the workforce.”

Many students had spent days preparing—perfecting their resumes, rehearsing their pitches, and researching the companies that would be represented. Shuttles transported students across campus, and by the time the doors opened, a diverse crowd had gathered, each ready to take the next step in their career journey. Bright banners and engaging displays drew students in, creating an atmosphere of possibility. The chance to network with accomplished professionals was a unique opportunity, and students approached each booth with a mix of curiosity and ambition.

Kendall Johnson, a Spelman sophomore psychology major from Pennsylvania, said, “It was eye-opening. I went to Warner Bros. and 2 talent agencies. I wish they had more for entertainment-interested people, but for what it’s worth, I enjoyed my time.”
