Description
To achieve the College’s academic aims, it is necessary to attract and retain high quality faculty who keep abreast of best practices, engage in research and scholarship, and who remain engaged in professional communities, especially as it relates to promoting student achievement and retention. A major component of this activity provides opportunities for faculty to advance the strategic goals of the College through support of faculty professional development and course enhancements. This activity supports the College’s efforts to transform traditional classrooms into active learning spaces to provide a technology-rich, collaborative, and engaging educational experience for students. Active learning spaces support an exceptional learning experience, which results in a range of improved student learning outcomes, including greater knowledge and application of the course content.
