Junior Halima K. Monds keeps herself busy. Since she enrolled in Spelman, the computer science major has interned for Facebook, participated in a six-week internship as a researcher in the Department of Science at Morehouse College, and interned with Warner Bro. Studios. The experiences, she believes, are only a portion of her overall professional and academic development.
“Spelman provides a combination of academic opportunities and character investment,” she said. “Not only do I have the skills to succeed, but I also have an awareness of my worth and an understanding of the importance of promoting my best self.”
Following graduation, she hopes to couple her love of technology and photography by obtaining a master's degree from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts’
Interactive Telecommunications Program.
