Tiffany Oliver's Innovative Research is Changing Lives

Tiffany OliverSpelman College's associate professor of biology Tiffany Oliver, Ph.D., is extremely passionate about scientific innovation and embodies Spelman's commitment to faculty excellence and undergraduate research.

A published leader in the fields of genetics and genetic epidemiology, she has served as a collaborator on numerous studies, reviewed articles for popular scientific journals, and served on review panels for government agencies such as the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

In the first of two videos, Dr. Oliver, who serves as a mentor to many students, explains why Spelman is a great place to learn and grow. She goes on to discuss her innovative research with red light therapy and how it can promote blood flow, help treat wounds, alleviate joint pain, improve hair growth and reduce the negative effects of age.
