Spelman College's 135th Commencement and Baccalaureate ceremonies honoring the graduating class of 2022 will take place at the McCamish Pavilion on the campus of Georgia Institute of Technology.

Visitor parking is available on the Georgia Tech campus and is first come, first served.

Listed here are the parking lots assigned for Spelman College working staff and guests and the associated fees.

Saturday, May 14 | Baccalaureate | 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Arrival Times: Working Staff - 7 a.m., Guests - 8 a.m.

Sunday May 15 | Commencement | 3 - 6 p.m.
Arrival Times: Working Staff - 10 a.m., Graduates - 1:30 p.m., Guests - 2 p.m.

Allowed Items

    What items are allowed in the venue?

    Each guest is allowed to bring in one (1) clear one-gallon resealable “Ziploc” style bag ONLY. ALL other bags are prohibited from McCamish Pavilion (including clear bags and small clutch bags previously permitted as a part of the bag policy).

    Exceptions will continue to be made for medical and/or diaper bags – guests with medical and/or diaper bags must request an individual inspection from the gate supervisor.

    Additionally, each guest can bring in (1) one sealed bottle of water (up to 1 liter) and a travel-sized bottle of hand sanitizer (3 oz).

    The following items ARE PERMITTED to enter McCamish Pavilion:

    • Service Animals
    • Binoculars
    • Banners, signs & flags without sticks or poles (no larger than 3′ x 5′)
    • Blankets (non-electric/non-battery-powered)
    • Stadium Seats (chair-backs/seat-backs/seat cushions) WITHOUT arms, pockets, compartments, and/or covers
    • Medical Assistance Devices
    • Breast Pumps & Supplies
    • Baby food (with child in arms)

    The following bags ARE PERMITTED:

    • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)

    An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate by the respective gate supervisor.

    Baby bags will be checked and tagged upon entry.

    What items are not allowed in the venue?

    The following items ARE PROHIBITED from entering McCamish Pavilion:

    • Outside food or drinks
    • Alcoholic beverages
    • Animals (except for certified service animals)
    • Aerosol cans / sprays
    • Confetti, balloons, silly string, or glitter
    • Bags (not compliant with Clear Bag Policy)
    • Horns or other noisemakers (bells, whistles, etc.)
    • Laser pointers
    • Cameras with lenses longer than 4″
    • Sticks or flag poles, Flags, large signs, or banners larger than 3′ x 5′, nothing offensive
    • Weapons of any kind, including those carried with a permit
    • Fireworks or other explosives and items deemed hazardous
    • Personal transportation devices (skateboards, hover boards, scooters, etc.)
    • Inflated balls of any type
    • Any other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate by security or event management

    Approved Bags

    • Clear plastic storage bag - one gallon, resealable
    • Seat cushion with no pockets, arms or zippers, 18" or less in width
