Applications must describe work that will result in submission of a completed funding proposal or publication by the end of the 2022-2023 academic year. The PPF application requires several items of information including:
- Target of funding proposal or publication
- Funding Proposal:
- Link to the funding RFP
- Spelman College Intent to Submit confirmation
- Explanation of the fit of your proposal topic with the identified RFP
- Journal/Conference Publication:
- Link to the journal/conference submission requirements
- Explanation of the fit of your paper topic with the identified journal/conference
- Funding request and justification
- Funds may be used to cover the cost of publication fees, transcription and editing services, data visualization support, course releases, writing workshops and other applicant identified needs to allow faculty to be able to successfully complete and submit publications or grant proposals. Funds may not be used to cover summer salary.
- A description of how you envision the funding from the PPF will enhance your ability to complete and submit a competitive funding proposal or publication.
- If you are requesting a course release, you must include a letter of support from your department chair.
