Student Ambassadors
Who are Spelman College Student Ambassadors?
Student Ambassadors are exemplary Spelman College students who represent Spelman at various special events and visit days throughout the year. These student ambassadors serve as hostesses and volunteers who also support the Office of Admissions through various activities related to recruiting prospective students and welcoming guests to campus. In addition, they provide an abundant amount of information to visitors, acquaint prospective students and guests with the campus while presenting the most positive spirit of Spelman College to all.
What are the Ambassador's Duties?
Student Ambassadors are responsible for conducting tours, virtual information sessions, and familiarizing prospective students and guests to campus services, activities, building locations, history, traditions, and the overall Spelman experience. They also provide general assistance prior to and during our campus programs: A Day in Your Life at Spelman, Junior Preview Day, Take Spelman Home, Spel-bound, and several other events put on by the Office of Admissions.
How Do I Become an Ambassador?
If you consider yourself a personable person who is passionate about sharing their Spelman experience to others, you may be the perfect fit to join our team! If you are interested in applying to be a part of our program, you would need to complete an official online application and go through an interview process. Ambassador applications will become available on this page in November 2021. Additional details will follow then. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to reach out to us!
