Student Ambassadors

What is a Spelman College Student Ambassador?

Student Ambassadors are exemplary Spelman College students who represent Spelman at various special events and visit days throughout the year. These student ambassadors serve as hostesses and volunteers whom also support the Office of Admissions through various activities related to recruiting prospective students and welcoming guests to campus. In addition, they provide an abundant amount of information to visitors, acquaint prospective students and guests with the campus while presenting the most positive spirit of Spelman College to all.

As a main element of their duties, Ambassadors are responsible for conducting tours and familiarizing prospective students to campus services, activities and building locations.

Ambassadors are also responsible for providing general assistance prior to and during our campus programs:  A Day in Your Life at Spelman, Junior Preview Day, Take Spelman Home for the Holidays and the admitted student program, Spel-Bound.
