Semester Study Abroad & International Exchange

A Note For Fall 2020 Semester Study Abroad Participants

Since the safety and well-being of our students is our topmost priority, the College has decided against sending students abroad in the Fall of 2020. Our decision was based on the Department of State Travel Restrictions at "Level 4:  Do not Travel", for all destination countries. As soon as possible, please make arrangements with your department chair/advisor to ensure advisement and registration for Fall 2020, if you have not done so already.

Spelman students have extended their learning experience beyond the campus classroom through study abroad. Our students have traveled to over 40 countries including Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe and Latin America.

We have partner institutions and organizations as well as relationships with exchange partnerships with universities in the West Indies, England, Czech Republic, Japan and Chile. Financial aid and scholarship assistance is available to support your study abroad experience.

Make your mark on the world by studying abroad!

For information about short-term study abroad opportunities, please visit the Gordon-Zeto Center for Global Education.
