Meet Our Quarterman-Keller Scholars

Quarterman-Keller Scholar: Calvin Bell III C'2023 - Morehouse College

Calvin Bell IIICalvin Bell, III, is a senior political science and philosophy double major from Pennsauken, N.J.

Currently his UNCF Mellon Mays research evaluates the structural parallels between the criminal justice system and normative systems such as academic institutions.

However, he designs a “school of radical love” to explore the transgressive and imaginative perspective of what pedagogy can become.

Through the Quarterman-Keller Scholars Program, Bell looks forward to engaging in oral research, anti-racist training, and dialogue as forms of restorative justice. By partaking in this social justice program, fellows like Bell will be able to uplift principles of racial healing, truth, and transformation through an anti-racist framework.

I am social justice…
