Georgia Women's Policy Institute Scholar - Nyla Rahman, C'2024

Nyla RahmanNyla Rahman, from Fort Washington, Maryland, attended Duke Ellington School of the Visual and Performing Arts in Washington D.C., where she graduated as a National Honor Society member and a 4.11 GPA. At Spelman College, Nyla is a Sophomore International Studies Major with a minor in Philosophy. She maintains a 4.0 GPA while interning for “Black Sustainability Inc.” Nyla is a member of the “Beyond the Body” club, the “Granddaughter’s club,” the “Environmental Task Force,” and the “National Action Network” at Spelman College. Nyla has also begun an LSAT study group for undergraduate women of color. She is deeply fascinated with the environment and environmental justice. After graduation, Nyla anticipates attending law school and pursuing a career as an environmental lawyer.
