Georgia Women's Policy Institute Scholar - Jasmine Mann, C'2024

Jasmine MannJasmine Mann is a Sophomore at Spelman College, a women’s liberal arts college, in Atlanta Georgia. Mann is majoring in International Studies with two minors: Spanish and Management and Organization. She is bilingual and has studied Spanish since elementary school.

Mann was raised in Alexandria, Virginia, a diverse suburb of Washington, D.C. She is resilient and a survivor. Ms. Mann worked at Firehouse subs and quickly rose to a supervisor position due to her exceptional work ethic and integrity. She utilized her language skills to train co-workers whose primary language was Spanish and was responsible for opening and closing the restaurant multiple times a week. Ms. Mann also worked as a canvasser for the New Georgia Project where she collected data on voter priorities, created awareness around election requirements and timelines, and facilitated the voter registration process.

Mann is currently undecided on a long-term career, and she is pursuing various opportunities to gain exposure to different career paths. Ms. Mann is committed to choosing a career path where she can be of service to others.
