Tayler Ulmer, a 2014 Truman Scholar, graduated magna cum laude with a double major in anthropology and sociology and international studies in May of 2015. She intends to combine her international experiences in education reform with local needs in Chicago to combat inequalities in education and various social institutions such as race and class.
As a Bonner Scholar, founder of My Brother's Keeper mentorship program, and a charter member of Girls Going Global, Tayler remained busy as she aspired to uplift the coming generations of change agents. She went on to study social policy at the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London as a 2015 Marshall Scholar.
