Nyla Griffith, C'2023, is a graduating senior and economics major on a pre-med track. During her matriculation at Spelman, she became a Sloan Scholar, attended Columbia University’s Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center CURE Research Program, and participated in Kaiser Permanente's Clinical Shadowing and Mentorship Program.

A member of Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honor Society and the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), Griffith served as president of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Professional Health Honor Society, liaison for the Minority Association of Premedical Students (M.A.P.S), and vice-president of communications, for the Residence Hall Association (RHA).

Committed to serving inside and outside of the classroom, Griffith is a Student Success Center Study Group Lead, Health Career Opportunities Preparation Pipeline Program (HCOPPP) Scholar, and Fall 2022 Scholar of the Women of Excellence in Leadership (WELS) Program. She also remained on the Dean's List for four years.

What are her plans after she graduates?

Following graduation, Griffith will attend Morehouse School of Medicine and pursue an MBA with a focus in healthcare management.
