During her matriculation at Spelman, economics major Taylor Janet Brown, conducted research with University of Virginia’s School of Data Science and the VLAB. Tapping into her entrepreneurial gifts, she also started her own business, Brounn Candle Company.

Brown, a Pittsburg, Pennsylvania native, is a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon, economics international honor society and Phi Beta Kappa. She also has had the privilege of serving as the 2nd attendant to Miss Spelman College, the co-publicity chair to senior class council, and 2nd president of the Economics Club.

Post Graduation Plans

Now that she has graduated from Spelman College, Brown will work with Red Ventures as a digital marketing analyst. She also plans on expanding her business and pursing a Ph.D. in Business Administration.
