Spelman Sloan Scholar Lauren Williams

Lauren Williams, C'2025, a rising junior economics major with a minor in management and organization

The Novi, Michigan native is a member of the following clubs and organizations: Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Emerging Leaders Recipient (Deloitte), Future Business Leaders of Spelman, Morehouse Business Association, National Council of Negro Women – Spelman Chapter, Spelman Investment Club (inaugural cohort, vice president).

Williams' research is focused on the different investment strategies and decisions across different races. Her research is predicated on the question(s) of determining the difference (if any) in assets across different races, and if these differences (if there are any at all) are explanatory to the investment strategies that are/aren’t utilized across different racial groups.

Williams' Long-term Goals

Williams plans to be an investment banker in an industry group whose coverage is focused on technology, media and telecom (TMT) or consumer retail.
