Amaia Calhoun, C'2023, is a senior economics major with a double minor in Spanish and management and organization.
The Cleveland, Ohio native currently serves as the secretary of business and finance for the 81st administration of the Spelman Student Government Association. She is also an Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program Scholar, Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) Career Prep Fellow, and a member of the Eta Kappa Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her area of research is in minority entrepreneurship and venture capital.
Calhoun's Long-term Goals
Calhoun’s ultimate goal is to enter the venture capital space and work to change the landscape of that industry by helping underrepresented entrepreneurs succeed. She will join Princeton University Investment Company (PRINCO) as an investment analyst after graduation from Spelman.
