International Student Services

Through the Eyes of International Students . . .

Fostering Intercultural Understanding

International Students at Spelman College“Enhancing the presence of international students on campus is pivotal to both the College’s comprehensive internationalization agenda and strategic planning,” said Dimeji R. Togunde, Ph.D., vice provost for Global Education and professor of International Studies in the Gordon-Zeto Center for Global Education.

“A simultaneous approach that bolsters students’ opportunities to study abroad while recruiting more international students to campus, bodes well for our Quality Enhancement Plan aimed at developing students’ intercultural understanding and global competence.”

Providing Services to International Students

International Students Thrive at SpelmanWe serve as a resource and advocate for international students to enhance their success at Spelman College. Through a variety of programs and partnerships with organizations in the Atlanta metropolitan area, we foster an environment that seeks to enrich students’ experiences and their integration on campus and in the broader Atlanta community.

Additionally, through various sessions and workshops, we work to ensure our students maintain federal regulatory compliance.
